Overall Condition: Very Good / Excellent Condition Details: FLOWER IS CHIPPED Research: Book of putti by someone else Weight: 5lb Measurements (LxWxH): 6 inches x 6 inches x 15 inches In this auction we are offering a beautiful covered urn in the Meissen style with Putti and flowers made by the Voigt Brothers in Sitzendorf, circa 1887 - 1900. The urn is comprised of three parts including lid, body and base. On the lid we have an adorable Putti, and on each side of the body are two more playful Putti. The body of the urn is also decorated with pretty applied porcelain flowers. The entire urn is hand painted. Bottom of the main body and bottom the base is signed as shown. Height is 15 inches. One of the two large purple flowers has a broken petal, and the other flower has two broken petals. A few of the leaves looked to have chips, but upon examination with a loop they do not have any chips ~ just the way the leaves were modeled. Other than the petals mentioned above, I see no other damage. Lots of photos so it may take some time to download. Thanks for your patience! |
