This is a stunning patented 1881, Waterbury Clock Co., 8-day time gong strike, enameled iron mantel clock. Condition: Wine color case showing some wear with all the gilt ornaments intact. Brass dial is still bright and clear. Hands are original. Movement is signed.This beautiful clock has a gong strike and half hour bell. Good all original rack strike movement which is still running strong after 126 years of service. American clock making at its best!

All statements made the date of auction take precedence over all written materials or advertisements. Any changes to the above will be posted on www.EstateRoadShow.com for Internet bidders. Registration: You can register instantly if you are an active seller/buyer registered on www.liveauctioneers.com. Additionally, bidders can attend auctions online live and bid in real time without software plug-ins or installation of Java. Description of Lots: EstateRoadShow.com has made every effort to catalogue, research and describe accurately property to be sold. The Company, however, assumes no risk, liability or responsibility for the identification or authenticity or authorship, or weight, count, or measure of any property identified in its catalogue or lists of sale. This shall include, among others, the identity of the creator, the period, culture, source of origin, as the case may be, with which the creation of any property is identified in any publication. Without in any way waiving the foregoing, any complaint regarding authenticity, genuineness, attribution or provenance shall be made within two (2) days of the day of delivery of the sale or such complaint shall be waived. Such mistakes must be identified and reported within 48 hours after the item is received by EstateRoadShow.com Withdrawal: EstateRoadShow.com reserves the right to withdraw any property at any time before the fall of the hammer in its sole and exclusive discretion. Per Lot: Unless otherwise announced by the auctioneer at the time of sale, all bids are per lot as numbered in the printed catalogue. EstateRoadShow.com reserves the right to determine any and all matters regarding the order, precedence or appropriate increment of bids or the constitution of lots. Bidding: The highest bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer shall be the purchaser. In the event of any dispute between bidders, the auctioneer shall have the sole and final discretion either to determine the successful bidder or to re-offer and resell the article in dispute. If any dispute arises after sale, the Company's sale record shall be conclusive in all respects. Claims that someone else bid using your online eBay ID will not remove you from your winning bid obligation unless eBay confirms in writing that their system caused the error accepting blame. In the case of a reserve auction, normally from lots consigned to EstateRoadShow.com by 3rd parties, the auctioneer may bid or direct an employee to bid on behalf of the seller up to their reserve price. The auctioneer shall be the sole arbitrator in case of any disputed bids. Winning Bid: Upon the fall of the hammer, title to any offered lot or article will immediately pass to the highest bidder as determined in the exclusive discretion of the auctioneer. Such bidder thereupon assumes full risk and responsibility for the property sold, agrees to sign any requested confirmation of purchase, and agrees to pay the full purchase price therefore or such part upon such terms as the Company may require. If the foregoing conditions or any applicable provisions of law are not complied with, in addition to other remedies available to the Company and the Consignor (including without limitation the right to hold the purchaser(s) liable for the bid price) the Company, at its option, may either cancel the sale, retaining as liquidated damages all payments made by the purchaser(s), or resell the property. In such event, the purchaser(s) shall remain liable for any deficiency in the original purchase price and will also be responsible for all costs, including warehousing, the expense of the ultimate sale, and the Company's commission at its regular rates together with all related and incidental charges, including legal fees. Payment is a precondition to removal. Payment shall be by cash, money order, PayPal.com, merchant Visa/MC/Discover/AMEX, check or similar bank draft, or any other method approved by the Company. The Company's copy of any such bid shall conclusively be deemed to be the sole evidence of same, and the Company shall not be held responsible for any failure to execute any pre-sale bid. Buyers Premium: A buyer's premium will be added to the successful bid price and is payable by the purchaser as part of the total purchase price. The live bidder buyer's premium is 15% of the successful bid price. The online / absentee buyers’ premium is 20%. Tax/Sales Tax: Unless exempted by law from the payment thereof, the purchaser will be required to pay any and all applicable state and/or local sales taxes. Deliveries to be made outside the state where a sale is conducted may therefore be subject to a corresponding or compensating tax in another state. Payment Terms: By bidding in this auction you are entering a binding legal contract to pay for your items within 3 days of the close of the auction. Payment can be made by personal check, money order, certified check, Paypal, or Credit Card (MasterCard, Visa, American Express or Discover). Any merchandise where payment arrangements have not been made by the end of the 5th business day will be processed through the credit card information provided at registration. All discounts will be reversed upon the end of the 3rd business day. After 7 business days after any auction, lots not paid for (with good funds) will be automatically re-listed and we will file with eBay for reimbursement of fees. NSF Fees: There will be a $50.00 fee to the buyer for a check dishonored by a bank for any reason. Legal action will be instituted to collect any unpaid account and the buyer agrees to pay all costs of collection, including reasonable attorney’s fees of 30% of the amount owed, plus a finance charge of 2% per month or 24% per annum from the date of the auction until the balance is paid in full. Shipping: The cost for shipping and handling is calculated in our check out process based on location, weight, size, etc. This includes shipments internationally. Shipments are combined to save on handling fees and shipping costs. Loss or damage during transit must be filed with the shipping company. Most shipping companies allot 30 days from their 1st scan date before claims can be filed for non-receipt. Refunds And Returns: All disputes/claims must be emailed to sales@estateroadshow.com. Claims will be evaluated and authorization for return of merchandise for evaluation will be given if appropriate. Final determination on a dispute/claim is evaluated based on the description, photo, and research done on each item. The photos are part of the description, carefully view all photos before bidding. EstateRoadShow.com reserves the right to make final determination on all claims/disputes. If authorization for return is given, the merchandise must be returned in original packing, original box, by non-priority mail, with no insurance. Once item has been returned and evaluated, a refund may be authorized. The refund will include the cost of the merchandise, shipping and handling expense plus return shipping costs. If merchandise is returned without authorization, the buyer will be responsible for the shipping cost to return the item to the buyer. EstateRoadShow.com will not accept photos as proof of damage.
